Delhi Daredevils beat Rajasthan Royals by 6 wickets
THE DELHI Daredevils (DD) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 6 wickets in the sixth
match of DLF IPL 2010 at Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmadabad this evening. Virender
Sehwag scored 75 runs in just 34 deliveries to secure Delhi Daredevils second
consecutive victory in IPL 2010.
Earlier Delhi Daredevils captain Gautam Gambhir won the toss and elected to field.
Rajasthan Royals lost their first wicket as Asnodkar, he scored 5 runs. Naman Ojha
showed some good shots around the field but he bowled by Amit Mishra. Last match
hero Yusuf Pathan was unable to open his account. At one stage Rajasthan Royals
score was 50 for the loss of top four batsmen. Abhishek Jhunjhunwala and Paras
Dogra played well taken RR score to 110 runs. Dogra declared run out on 29 runs.
Abhishek Jhunjhunwala scored not out 53 runs. At the end of 20th over Rajasthan
Royals score was 141 runs for the loss of 6 wickets.In reply, Delhi Daredevils started their inning with a style. Viru was unstoppable
by RR bowlers. Sehwag scored 75 runs in 34 balls with the help of 8 fours and 5
sixes. His strike rate was about 221. Munaf Patel caught him to Smith at 10th over
and by that time DD score was 99 runs. Earlier captain Gambhir and Dilsan out on
the cheap. AB de Villiers out for 15 runs. Delhi Daredevils won the match in 18th
over. Dinesh Karthik was not out for 23 runs and Mithun Manhas on 12 runs.
